Bolingbrook is heavily reliant on automotive transport, benefiting from excellent highway access. Interstate 55 runs through the southern edge of the village, providing a direct route to Chicago, while Interstate 355 (The Veterans Memorial Tollway) runs along the eastern edge, connecting to the northern and southern suburbs.
Public transit is provided by Pace suburban buses, which operate local routes and express services. While Bolingbrook does not have its own Metra commuter rail station, residents frequently utilize the nearby stations in Romeoville, Downers Grove, and Naperville to commute to Chicago. The village also owns and operates Bolingbrook's Clow International Airport, a small public-use facility dedicated to general aviation and flight training.
