Grayson is a heavily car-dependent community. The primary arteries running through the city are Georgia State Route 20 (Loganville Highway) which runs north-south, and Georgia State Route 84 (Grayson Parkway) which runs east-west. While Grayson does not have a direct interstate highway passing through it, it is located conveniently near US Highway 78 to the south and Georgia State Route 316 to the north.
Public transit is extremely limited; Gwinnett County Transit provides broad services across the county, but direct bus routes into the heart of Grayson are minimal. There is no passenger rail or subway service. Ride-share services like Uber and Lyft are widely available and frequently used. The city has made recent efforts to improve pedestrian infrastructure, adding sidewalks and multi-use trails to connect parks, schools, and the downtown retail areas.
