Meenachil experiences a tropical monsoon climate (Köppen climate classification: *Am*). The weather is generally warm and highly humid year-round. Average daily temperatures range from 23°C to 34°C (73°F to 93°F), with the hottest months being March and April.
The region receives exceptionally heavy rainfall, primarily from the Southwest Monsoon (June to August) and the Northeast Monsoon (October to November). Annual rainfall often exceeds 3,000 mm. The monsoon season frequently leads to flooding in the low-lying areas along the Meenachil River. The best time to visit is during the relatively dry and cool winter months, from December to February.
