The state is currently implementing KFON (Kerala Fiber Optic Network), an ambitious project to provide high-speed broadband internet as a basic right to every household and government office, bridging the digital divide.
Healthcare infrastructure is arguably the best in India, with a highly effective decentralized system ranging from primary health centers in every village (Panchayat) to advanced government medical colleges in the cities. Cellular and broadband penetration is exceptionally high, supporting a highly digitally literate population.
