Exact highest-point figures vary by boundary definition. - **Lowest areas:** Lower-lying zones generally occur along valley systems and around interconnected lake beds and stormwater channels, where flooding can occur during heavy rain. - **Hills and ridges:** Bengaluru has modest granite hills and rocky knolls rather than major mountains.
